Superannuation

Superannuation will form the major source of income that most of us will live on in retirement. With the low tax rates, contribution benefits and investment options available, superannuation is usually an important part of a long term financial plan.

With superannuation now covering areas such as balanced and growth funds, share funds and increasingly self-managed superannuation funds it is important that where your money is invested and how much you are contributing is reviewed and maximised on a regular basis.

Investments

Whether you are just starting out in the field of investment or have been building up your assets for many years there is always a need to review and analyse where you have your money now and how it is expected to perform in the future.

Maybe you want to start a savings plan for yourself or your children and have heard managed funds are the way to go or maybe you want to look at diversifying but don't have the time to research and review your options? From basic funds to asset specific investment strategies we can look at a plan that suits your needs, investment risk tolerance and objectives.

Personal Insurance

For many people insurance simply means the policy you take out to insure your car or the cover you put in place in case your house gets burgled or damaged. Many people however fail to protect themselves in the event of sickness, disability or in the worse case their death. Personal insurance is a vital part of most people's financial planning and covers the insurances of life cover, total and permanent disability cover, trauma cover and income protection.

Life insurance can be used to make sure if you pass away your debts are cleared and issues such as providing for your family can be addressed. Total and Permanent Disability cover and Trauma cover provide a lump sum to allow the clearing of any debts and medical expenses. Income Protection provides a monthly income if you are off work through disability and no longer receiving any income.

Regardless of your debts or responsibilities, if you are working and plan on building up your wealth over time, protecting what you have now will ensure you have a much better chance of getting to where you want to go.

Wealth Creation Strategies

Making money and growing wealth can involve more than one option and everyone is different as to the steps they need to take. Some of our clients are prepared to take a lot of big steps very quickly in an attempt to make their money while others are much more comfortable with a slow and steady approach to providing a more secure financial future.

By talking to you about what you want and the options you have we can look at strategies ranging from adding money to super and paying off your debts quicker to using detailed gearing strategies and diversifying across various asset classes.

Retirement planning

For some people retirement means leaving the workforce completely while for others it simply means working part time or only a few days a week. Regardless of the end goal it is important that we all start planning now for where we want to be in the future.

It is never too early to start planning for your future and it is never too late to look at maximising your options. Talking to us about your plans and wishes is the first step towards achieving your goals. After all, if you don't start planning for your future who will?

Our process

The first step in seeing how we can help you is to make an appointment to come and see us. In our free no-obligation first appointment we will discuss with you your current situation and goals and plans for the future. Part of our discussions will include a detailed question and answer process where we make sure we have a thorough understanding of your assets, incomes, liabilities and spending habits.

We also spend a great deal of time discussing what type of investor you are and what experience and understanding you have in areas such as the share market and superannuation. Our clients vary greatly in their understanding of these areas and part of our role is to help educate our clients as we work together over time.

One of the most important ways in which we can help you is to assist you in working towards your goals and objectives. We want to make sure we have a complete understanding of your short, medium and long term goals before we advise you as every client is different with varying timeframes and goals for the future.

After we gain a complete understanding of where you are now and what your goals are we can look at providing advice to you. Our advice and recommendations are presented in a Statement of Advice, a formal document that sets out our recommendations, fees and charges, what to be aware of and our strategies for the future.

Ongoing Service

A very important part of our process is the ongoing relationship where we review and update our clients based on their personal needs and requirements. Some of our clients wish to hear from us on a more regular basis while others simply prefer an annual update to see how they are progressing. We have different packages for our ongoing advice and we will discuss with you your options when you first meet with us.
